“Retreat to a 19th century hut, with everything you need out of the 21st”
An old house and an old barn, both from 1895, restored, modernized and brought to life in 2022 in Marginimea Sibiului at Fantanele-Cacova/Krebsbach, a village with a little over 100 inhabitants down the Sura Hill.
The result: A concept for recreation, brought into the contemporary out of pieces fragmented and destroyed by the passage of time, to balance your senses:
smell the wood more than 1 century old
set your eyes on the vivid red-blue colour scheme and see how traditional design meets technology
listen to your thoughts, listen to the silence and the sounds of nature: the rustle of the wind or the song of the crickets
touch the pieces decorated with traditional Romanian motifs – our reminders of history – diligently handcrafted and painted by our craftsmen
taste fruits from the orchard and serve a meal with traditional delicacies from our neighbourhood.
All in a concept where we combined traditional with modern amenities and where we believe you don’t need anything else either. Apart from the food, of course, which we invite you to prepare individually in the kitchen fully equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and traditional old furniture.
Or, if you want to be served with food, you have Sibiel at 3km, Orlat at 6km, Sibiu at 19km and even Paltinis at 27km to try out local dishes. A walk and a siesta do suit diversity. Anyhow, you’ll hardly wait to return to our “accommodation” and to our peace.
